I'm back from Cambodia ...
actually it had been 5 days since i came back ..
and yes ... UPDATE UPDATe ...
But due to limited pictures while using my Handphone cam ..
Thus i can't show you much ...
until .... i got the pictures from my other Yeppers ..

Our Cambodia Yeppers consist of --> Ms Kyle, Ms Lee G.Y, Dr Ron ..
Sya, Fiona, Yi Ting, Thienash ..
Christine, Ya Li, Serene, Grace, Li Duan, Hong Bei, Sin Sing, Julien, delphine
Jonathan, Gwen, Aishah, Sab, Hanisah, Anis, Daphne, Suhidah,
Zuli, Fizah, Fathilah, Adeline, Elaine, Aaron, Aisiah, Xiao Qiu

hahaha ... anyway, CAMBODIA is really hot during the period of time we were there ..
To me, it's about 38 degree C ..
And our body temp is always very hot ..

But we did our Water filter over there ..
we helped out in making cement and helping to pour them into the filter ..
And during this period of time, we can really understand how those workers worked at the worksite and how they can work under the hot sun ..
Everyday we will be working from 7am (Cambodia time) which is about 8am in Singapore Time till 3pm ( Cam Time)
Although it's really tiring and really hot and sweaty working there, but once you end your day, you'll actually feel a sense of achievement ..
Cause you can provide the villages with better water ..
And sometimes, we can also interact with the children and understand more about them ..

They are really simple and contented with what they have in life ..
Their houses are all made up of wood and straws .. which you can't see in Singapore anymore..
There is also a well, land and plantation over there ..
Farm-like animals like Pigs, Chickens, chick, ducks, dogs, puppies, cows, horse, goats were also seen ..
But their cows are mostly slimmer than the one we spotted in Zoo..
And there are always Mosquitoes, Housefiles and Sandfiles all around the area ..
And i can't really stand the housefiles as they are always flying around you and trying to land on any uncovered area on your skin .. haha

Other than that, we do went to their MARKETS .. which is like a place where you can try to bargain for cheaper prices ..

And during the weekends, we went over to Cambodia's Genocide musuem where in the 1970s, the communists tried to take over Cambodia and torture their own people in order to get rid of those who opposed them ..
We went over to the Killing Fields ( the area where the communists, S-21 buried all their prisioners) ..
So many people was killed during that period of time and may god bless their souls ...

Other than that, we went to The other areas of HAGAR like the Houses of Smiles and the HIV home to visit the areas ..
Although the visiting time was short, but what we learnt over there was really enriching as their childrens were so brave enough to face their future ..

The most happening thing was during the last few days of our trip, we went over to Ang Kor Wat Temple( 1 of the 7 Wonder of the World) ...
It is really an area which is full of craving, murals and mystery ...
Although most of the temple looked the same .. but i believed that each of them have their own story behind ..
We manage to climb that 70 degree steps slope up to the top of the Temple and of course .. somewhere in the middle, i got freaked out and wanted to climb down ..
But due to all of my Yeppers' enouragment, i had to force my way up ..
Thank god i made it ... and goddness gracious, the top was soooooo high and once you looked down, you will have the feeling of vertigo and palpitation ..
But the nightmare wasn't over .. the down part was scary as well ..
You will have to hold onto the bars on that is situated on the steps slope and make Ur way down ... and lucky, Hong Bei was in front of me to hold me .. ha
It was really a good as well as scary experiences for me .. and i don't think i'll ever climb up something like that for a very long time ..

But being in a Third world country is something i never been to until now ..
Cambodia is really a nice place but mostly scary cos of their traffic issue ..
But it's really worth going if you ever wanna see some culture shock and experience how fortunate is ur life in Singapore..

Thank you to all my team mates as well as the lectures that i met throughout this trip and the fun and experiences that we shared ..
